Novas tecnologias e organização do trabalho

The effects of the inter-dependence and complementarity between new technologies and labour organization are more visible in the contemporary societies, particularly in the developed capitalist ones. This process has a structural character not only at the labour division level, in terms of the hierarchical structure of the formal authority, the decision process and the leadership process, but also in terms of qualification and profiles of the labour factor. As the new technologies and labour organization fit the capitalist instrumental rationality, both show an historicity which moves towards displacement and integration of a large amount of energy, of information and knowledge, which was placed in the functions and tasks of the attributes and skills of the salaried labour. As a result, a dual labour world has emerged:skilled/unskilled; employment/ unemployment; stable labour contracts/unstable labour contracts, and social integration/social exclusion.
