ABSTRACT
The objective was to analyze the aspects that influence the hiring and maintenance of the personal trainer, from the clients' point of view. For the composition of the survey, service users answered questionnaires and interviews. It was detected that several capitals are at stake, but clients emphasized symbolic aspects related to knowledge, security and confidence in their work as differentials. Instead of valuing body capital, as pointed out in other studies, the investigation observed the emergence of profile capital as an element of distinction.
