ABSTRACT
This study aimed to analyze the experiences of gay teachers who teach Physical Education in Northern Bahia. We are based in the field of Gender, Sexuality, and Masculinity Studies. Eight Oral History interviews with self-declared homosexual teachers were analyzed based on Foucauldian discourse analysis. The reports addressed their construction processes as subjects, mainly from their sexual orientations, especially their empowerment in the professional sphere. We found that the experiences acquired throughout their training processes were marked by marginalization, rooted in our heteronormative society. However, its performance points to greater inclusion and resistance.
