Apresenta algumas das polêmicas e dos desafios que rondam o debate, apontando o acúmulo construído pela profissão. Reafirma a urgência da construção de unidades estratégicas no âmbito das lutas sociais, na direção de um projeto de emancipação humana.

Abstract: In the context of an anti-human siege, this Editorial invites a deeper debate on human diversity in Social Work, based on ontological foundations and theoretical-political contributions following Marxist thought. It presents some of the controversies and challenges surrounding the debate, highlighting the accumulated knowledge built by the profession. It reaffirms the urgency of building strategic unity within social struggles, towards a project of human emancipation.

Resumo: Este estudo analisou a relação entre violência contra a mulher e tentativas de suicídio. As tentativas de suicídio revelaram-se formas extremas de romper com a violência, configurando-se como consequências diretas de uma sociedade patriarcal que oprime, silencia e desvaloriza as mulheres. O suicídio surgiu como expressão do sofrimento psíquico produzido por relações de poder desiguais e pela ausência de redes de apoio e de políticas públicas eficazes de enfrentamento às violências.

Abstract: This study analyzed the relationship between violence against women and suicide. Suicide attempts were revealed as extreme ways of breaking free from violence, representing a direct consequence of a patriarchal society that oppresses, silences, and devalues women. Suicide emerged as an expression of the psychological suffering produced by unequal power relations and the absence of support networks and effective public policies to address violence.

Resumo: Este artigo analisa a distância entre o reconhecimento jurídico dos direitos da população LGBT+ e sua efetivação por meio de políticas públicas no estado do Piauí. Compreende a homotransfobia como violação de direitos humanos e expressão da questão social. Adota abordagem qualitativa, crítico--interpretativa, de natureza bibliográfica e documental, examinando decisões judiciais e iniciativas estaduais, evidenciando avanços formais e limites institucionais à efetividade dos direitos.

Abstract: This article analyzes the gap between the legal recognition of LGBT+ rights and their implementation through public policies in the state of Piauí, Brazil. It understands homotransphobia as a human rights violation and an expression of the social question. The study adopts a qualitative, critical-interpretative approach, based on bibliographic and documentary research, examining judicial decisions and state initiatives, highlighting formal advances and institutional limits affecting the effectiveness of rights.

Abstract: The article analyzed affirmative action policies involving racial quotas for admission to higher education and federal civil service examinations, with an emphasis on hetero-identification commission. The study demonstrates that the implementation of quotas through hetero-identification intensifies the racial debate and focuses on self-identification, although it still faces limitations imposed by racism. In this context, selection committees play a crucial role in consolidating the policy and mitigating inequalities.

Abstract: We examine public communication as an essential mediation for access to rights in quilombola communities, showing that its effectiveness goes beyond formal norms and depends on material, territorial, and symbolic conditions. Based on the “feet-on-the-ground” metaphor, we highlight the importance of presence, trust-building, and institutional mediation in the face of inequalities and racism, advocating for dialogical, place-based practices that expand participation, strengthen collective autonomy, and make rights tangible in everyday life.

Resumo: O artigo analisa a incorporação da dimensão étnico-racial na Residência Multiprofissional em Atenção Básica da Escola de Governo Fiocruz Brasília, com base em pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e empírica. Os resultados indicam que a temática permanece fragmentada na formação, sendo frequentemente abordada apenas na residência e de forma insuficiente, enquanto o racismo atravessa o cotidiano dos serviços de saúde. Abstract: This article analyzes the incorporation of the ethnic-racial dimension into the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Primary Health Care at the School of Government Fiocruz Brasília, based on bibliographical, documentary, and empirical research. The findings indicate that the theme remains fragmented in professional education, being frequently addressed only during the residency and, even then, in a limited manner, while racism permeates the everyday routine of health services. It concludes that its critical incorporation requires articulation with class relations and ethnic-racial oppression.

Resumo: Analisamos a diversidade trans sob a ontologia do ser social. Realizamos pesquisa bibliográfica dos fundamentos ontológicos da individualidade e sua relação com a diversidade humana e trans. A partir do materialismo histórico-dialético, identificamos a relevância da concepção ontológica do ser social para o entendimento dessas diversidades, apreendemos que o sexo é socialmente construído, e que a autodeterminação e a liberdade na construção da identidade demandam luta por emancipação humana.

Abstract: We analyze trans diversity under social being’s ontology. It was done bibliographical research concerning the individuality’s ontological fundamentals and its relation with trans and human diversity. From dialectical-historical materialism, we identified the relevance of social being’s ontological conception for the understanding of these diversities and apprehend that sex is socially made and that autodetermination and freedom on identity’s formation demands struggling for human emancipation.

Abstract: This article traces the trajectory of the ethnic-racial debate throughout the ninety years of Brazilian Social Work, from its genesis to reflections on anti-racist training and professional practice. Despite the break with conservatism, especially after the “Turning Point Congress”, racism remained entrenched. More recently, particularly with the massive entry of young Black people into universities, we have seen the advancement of this debate in the field, reaching all entities within the profession and with concrete developments in training and professional practice.

Abstract: This article analyzes telework and the sexual division of labor in the context of the covid-19 pandemic and post-pandemic. Using intersectionality (class, race and gender), it investigates how the accumulation of private tasks overlaps with paid work. The methodology involves a literature review and analysis of documentary and quantitative data. The results highlight the female work overload and the structural challenges imposed by the continuity of isolation practices in Brazil.

Abstract: The article analyzes theoretical-methodological inflections in Social Work production on sexual diversity, in light of the Marxian critique of bourgeois reason. Drawing on Lukács and Coutinho, it argues that denying totality reduces diversity to a fetish, limiting its critical potential. It identifies two main trends: postmodern fragmentation and a legalism that fetishizes the State and Law. It concludes that such shifts weaken the field and reaffirms the perspective of totality as essential to strengthening the Ethical-Political Project.

Abstract: This study presents the state of the art of scientific production on sexual diversity within Brazilian Social Work from 2010 to 2023. Through the analysis of 183 mapped works, the article identifies the main expressions and trends in this debate. The findings show that the way this theme has been addressed in recent years represents a substantive advancement in the field, reinforcing the profession’s ethical-political commitment to the critical analysis of social issues and of relations of exploitation, oppression, and domination.

Abstract: Within the context of pathologizing analyses regarding LGBTQIA+phobia, this literature review grounded in historical-dialectical materialism examines the determinants of prejudice and the formation of LGBT identities under capitalism, as well as their implications for social workers. Thus, historicizing prejudice and the formation of LGBT identities under capitalism can assist social workers in the revolutionary defense of anti-oppression agendas against identity politics.

Abstract: The article discusses feminist theories and the importance of difference as a framework for political action. Drawing on several lines of discussion, it analyzes their critical potential with regard to the notion of equality. It also examines critical feminist, anti-racist, and anti-capitalist thought from the Global South for the reformulation of the concepts of time, memory, affect, and language. Finally, it highlights practices that regard difference as a foundational social value, thereby reinforcing the possibility of socioeconomic transformation.

Resumo: Este estudo analisa como a memória, as narrativas e a pedagogia crítica reforçam a identidade e o protagonismo comunitário num território rural. Fundamentado no projeto Vozes da Folgosa e utilizando metodologias participativas, identificaram-se três eixos: reapropriação identitária, problematização estrutural e ações coletivas. Verificou-se que a construção dialógica da memória promove consciência crítica como uma possível estratégia para territórios que se encontrem numa situação de vulnerabilidade.

Abstract: This study analyzes how memory, narratives, and critical pedagogy reinforce identity and community protagonism in a rural area. Based on the Vozes da Folgosa project and utilizing participatory methodologies, three axes were identified: identity reappropriation, structural problematization, and collective actions. It was found that the dialogical construction of memory promotes critical awareness as a possible strategy for areas in vulnerable situations.

Abstract: This text assumes that the National Socio-Educational System (Sinase) is organized at the interface of social assistance, education, and the justice system. It points out the conservative and emancipatory tendencies in dispute regarding the care of adolescents who commit infractions in the capitalist context. Sinase represents an advance in socio-education, although it presents challenges in guaranteeing the full protection of adolescents in a scenario of advancing capital violence and regression of social policy.

Trata de pesquisa documental envolvendo 104 documentos produzidos pelo Unicef entre 1972 e 2023, ancorada no materialismo histórico-dialético e na análise temática. Abstract: This article demonstrates that, by refocusing early childhood on combating poverty, the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) combines neoliberal efficiency with moralizing familism. It is a documentary study involving 104 documents produced by Unicef between 1972 and 2023, anchored in historical-dialectical materialism and thematic analysis. The results highlight the centrality of the investment lexicon and its translation into devices that familiarize early childhood protection.
