Launched in March 2003, Trabalho, Educação e Saúde (TES) (Work, Education and Health) is an open-access scientific journal published by the Escola Politécnica de Saúde Joaquim Venâncio, Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. It is intended for the publication of debates, analyses, and research, both theoretical and applied, on topics related to the fields of education and health, discussing them from the perspective of contemporary work organization, from a critical and interdisciplinary perspective.

Professional training and qualification and the healthcare work process are central themes of the journal, which believes that it contributes to the improvement of social policies in general and the Unified Health System (SUS) in particular.

TES's editorial policy follows the Open Science modus operandi of research communication.

Certain to contribute to the consolidation of its central and unique theme—education and health from a work perspective—TES seeks to reach researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, professionals linked to health services, and teachers and managers in the field of professional health education.

The journal Trabalho, Educação e Saúde does not charge any type of fee, either for editorial processing or for article publication.

Since January 2018, TES has ceased publishing the print version and has adopted an exclusively digital version with continuous publication. In 2021, it began using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) for submission management.

Aligned with Open Science practices, TES guarantees Open Access to all its content, allowing unrestricted virtual access (including no financial restrictions) to all scientific texts published by the journal.

Open access is the condition in which the copyright holder of an academic work grants usage rights to third parties using an open license (Creative Commons Attribution, CC-BY), allowing immediate free access to the work and authorizing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, track them for indexing, pass them on as data to software or use them for any other lawful purpose.

The journal is a signatory of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which means that all content is freely available, at no cost to the user or their institution. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or create links to the full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without requesting prior permission from the publisher or author.

This journal follows the Gold Open Access model.  At the time of submission, the author must complete and attach the Open Science Compliance Form.

The editorial process of TES is guided by the norms and recommendations of ethical and responsible standards in scientific communication, established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE),  and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), by the principles of ethics in publication, established in the “Basic Practices” and “Flowcharts” of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as the SciELO Codes of Ethics, present in the “Guide to Good Practices for Strengthening Ethics in Scientific Publication.”

Trabalho, Educação e Saúde is affiliated with and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Requests and appeals will be reviewed by the editor responsible for the article and the editor-in-chief, considering: expert opinions, editorial autonomy regarding the relevance and consistency of contributions, and in light of ethical principles and best practices in research and publication.

Below, we highlight some of the main responsibilities of the professionals involved in the publication.

Authors

• Authors agree to be aware of the full content of the instructions to authors of the TES.
• When submitting an article, authors must ensure that it is original and has not been simultaneously submitted for publication in another journal. It is worth mentioning that TES accepts manuscripts published in recognized preprint repositories.
• If there is a previous publication that presents similar content or overlaps with that of the submitted article, authors must inform the editors at the time of submission and provide a copy of the similar or overlapping material for an editorial decision.
• With regard to authorship, TES follows the ICMJE Recommendations. The following are the authorship criteria that must be met by all those designated as authors: (1) substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of the work's data; (2) preparation of preliminary versions of the article or critical review of significant intellectual content; (3) final approval of the version to be published; (4) agreement to be responsible for all aspects of the work, in order to ensure that issues relating to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are properly investigated and resolved. Professionals who do not meet all four requirements, although they have contributed to the article in other ways, should be mentioned in the acknowledgments, but not identified as authors. Authors are responsible for acknowledging and obtaining written permission from all those mentioned in the acknowledgments section.
• Still regarding authorship, authors should indicate their contribution at each stage of article preparation according to the following list, based on the CRediT Taxonomy: study conception, data curation, data collection, data analysis, writing – original manuscript, writing – revision, and editing. Other information, such as: funding, ethical considerations, conflicts of interest, and prior submission, should also be indicated in the manuscript presentation.
• The corresponding author, who is responsible for communicating with the journal during article submission, peer review, and the publication process, must ensure that all authors have reviewed the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission to TES.
• Authors are responsible for maintaining adequate records of study data and providing access to such data when requested by editors. TES encourages the filing of datasets in a thematic repository or, when none exists, in a general or institutional repository, in order to facilitate sharing with other researchers, as recommended by the ICMJE.
• Authors must confirm that all cited sources are accurate and complete. When there is doubt regarding the inclusion of citations and their respective references, the cited document is verified or requested.
• If, during the evaluation process, editors or reviewers detect excessive self-citation by authors and/or the journal, the corresponding author, or even all authors, are contacted for clarification in order to support the decision-making process.
• Any form of scientific misconduct, such as data fabrication, data falsification, misappropriation of data and materials, and plagiarism, is unacceptable and constitutes grounds for manuscript rejection at any stage of the editorial process, in which case the editor will initiate the appropriate procedures detailed by COPE. If scientific misconduct is detected after publication, TES will proceed to retract the article in accordance with COPE's "Withdrawal Guidelines".
• The author, or first author, of a scientific article must verify the accuracy of data produced by third parties, including collaborators on co-authored articles, avoiding indifference to the risk that the material may be false, fabricated, or plagiarized, which may constitute misconduct due to negligence.
• Authors should attach, at the time of submission, if applicable, the study approval protocol from a Research Ethics Committee involving human or animal subjects. If applicable, they should also provide information on obtaining free and informed consent from the participants.
• Because it involves public trust in the scientific process and the credibility of published articles, authors must declare any conflicts of interest that could influence the development of the study or their conduct. This declaration should be made in the body of the article, immediately after the references.
• If authors identify any errors in the article, at any stage of the editorial process, or even after publication, they should contact the editorial team. In such situations, they are expected to cooperate with the editors for a possible publication of an erratum, expression of concern, or retraction of the article.

Reviewers

COPE has produced guidelines that establish the basic principles and standards to which all reviewers must adhere, which we reproduce below. We recommend reading the full document at https://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines-new/cope-ethical-guidelines-peer-reviewers. Thus, during the peer review process, reviewers must:

• agree to review only manuscripts whose subject matter falls within their area of ​​expertise, so that they can perform an adequate and timely assessment.
• not use the information obtained during the peer review process for their own benefit or that of another person or organization, or to harm or discredit third parties.
• respect the confidentiality of peer review and do not disclose any details of a manuscript or its review, during or after the peer review process, beyond those disclosed by the journal. They must also understand that plagiarism during the review process is considered misconduct.
• declare all potential conflicts of interest, seeking advice from the journal if they are unsure whether something constitutes a relevant interest. If such conflicts could influence the evaluation, reviewers must decline the invitation.
• not to allow their reviews to be influenced by a manuscript's origins, nationality, religious or political beliefs, racial issues, gender or other characteristics of the authors, or by commercial considerations.
• alert the editors to any suspected similarity to another article.
• be objective and constructive in their eviews, refrain from being hostile and from making defamatory or derogatory personal comments.

Editors

The editors of TES are committed to acting in accordance with best editorial practices and to supporting initiatives to prevent scientific misconduct and encourage ethics in publishing.

They also must:

• ensure that all articles considered for publication, in addition to being relevant, original and qualified, comply with research ethics standards, especially in the case of research involving human beings and animals.
• declare all potential conflicts of interest. If such conflicts could influence the evaluation, the editor must decline the invitation and inform the Editorial Coordination.
• treat the manuscript and all submitted supplementary material confidentially, protecting the identity of reviewers and authors, since TES adopts a double-blind peer review procedure, except in the case of preprint evaluation, in which the evaluation is single-blind, since the identity of the authors is known.
• ensure that all published manuscripts have been properly evaluated by qualified reviewers (including statistical review, when necessary), not sharing with anyone, except the authors and reviewers themselves, information about their content and status in the review process, reviewer critiques, and their final destination.
• select competent external reviewers in the subject areas of the articles;
• seek reviewers who produce high-quality, courteous reports within a reasonable timeframe.
• provide clear guidance to external reviewers and request that they indicate any potential conflicts of interest before submitting the full text of the article for evaluation.
• act ethically at all stages of the editorial process, without discriminating against the origin of the manuscript, nationality, religious or political beliefs, gender or other characteristics of the authors, and without being guided by commercial interests.
• adopt a transparent editorial policy, provide clear instructions to authors, including on the steps of the editorial process and authorship criteria, and periodically update the instructions to authors.
• follow COPE guidelines in cases of suspected publication misconduct, investigate each suspected situation, and publish corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions, when appropriate.
• provide means for journal staff members involved in the editorial process, including the editors themselves, to receive training and stay up-to-date on the latest guidelines, recommendations, and evidence regarding scientific publishing.
• acknowledge the reviewers' contribution to the journal by publishing a thank-you note to them in the last issue of each year.
• ensure the editorial autonomy of the journal in relation to its sponsoring institution, the Escola Politécnica de Saúde Joaquim Venâncio, a scientific unit of the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, thus avoiding academic endogamy.
• encourage reviewers to report any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of publication misconduct.
• use plagiarism detection tools to avoid this form of misconduct, as well as to prevent duplicate publication.
• any form of scientific misconduct is unacceptable and constitutes grounds for rejection of the manuscript at any stage of the editorial process, in which case the editor will initiate the appropriate procedures detailed by COPE.

TES's editorial policy aims to establish principles, guidelines, and responsibilities for authors, reviewers, and editors. To that end, it makes public the scope, types of contributions, peer review process, how to access the content, its position on copyright, and the rules and recommendations for ethical standards and responsibility in scientific communication.

Training and professional qualification, as well as the work process in healthcare, are central areas for the journal, which believes it is contributing to the improvement of social policies in general, and the SUS in particular.

In line with Open Science principles, the journal encourages the depositing of versions of the articles it publishes in repositories.

With regard to preprints, it is recommended to first publish in the SciELO Preprints repository.

However, for articles, preprints, or research data, authors may still choose other institutional repositories, discipline-specific repositories, or multidisciplinary repositories.

The first stage of evaluation is carried out by scientific editors, who judge the thematic and scientific-methodological suitability, considering the journal's editorial policy. This stage can take from one to ten days.

Once accepted in this first phase, the text will undergo double-blind peer review, or single-blind peer review in the case of preprints. In this phase, the publishers choose at least two researchers from areas related to the topic to evaluate the manuscript (ad-hoc reviewers external and internal to Fiocruz). The reviewers have up to 20 days to submit their report.

After the response deadline has expired, we send up to three reminders, and if we still have not received a response, we invite another reviewer nominated by the publisher. Reviews may indicate one of four options:

a) publication in its current form;
b) publication subject to minor changes;
c) publication subject to significant changes;
d) should not be published in this journal.

In the event of a disagreement between the opinions, a third opinion is requested for the Editorial Board's decision, also within a period of 20 days.

Manuscripts marked with “significant changes” (c) must be accompanied, in the revised version, by a letter responding to each recommendation in the reviews and the treatment given to it by the authors, paying particular attention to those that were not addressed.

Each review is responded to separately. The revised manuscript, accompanied by a letter addressing each recommendation, undergoes a new round of evaluation by the same reviewers, who may recommend further revision, acceptance, or rejection. If further revision is required, the process is repeated.

Average manuscript turnaround time (2025): The average time from submission to first editorial decision is 2 weeks. The average time from submission to publication is 6 months.

Failure to respond to journal correspondence at this stage authorizes TES to archive the submission

Open peer review process – all articles will include information on the names of the editors responsible for the evaluation, the review modality, and the number of reviewers in the information box, published at the end of each article. Reviewers (starting in 2026) are consulted about the option of publishing their names in the articles.

Articles approved for publication must have their data deposited in the TES dataverse on SciELO Data. All articles will include information about the availability of research data in the information box at the end of each article.

TES does not charge authors any article processing fees (APCs) or publication fees. It does not charge readers for access to reading and downloading articles, nor does it require registration to access the content.

In addition to adhering to the guidelines of international and national organizations regarding principles and best practices on ethics and negligence in scientific publications, TES has two consultants for research ethics issues.

If authors identify any errors in the article, at any stage of the editorial process, or even after publication, they should contact the editorial team. In such situations, they are expected to cooperate with the editors for a possible publication of an erratum, expression of concern, or retraction of the article.

Editors must follow COPE guidelines in cases of suspected publication misconduct, investigate each suspected situation, and publish corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions, when appropriate.

Reports and allegations of misconduct — including those submitted by third parties or anonymously — will be received via the journal’s institutional email address, with the confidentiality of all parties involved being safeguarded during the investigation.

Misconduct is defined as fabrication, falsification (alteration/omission) or misappropriation of data; plagiarism (appropriation of ideas/text without attribution); negligence regarding data accuracy; and text recycling (self-plagiarism) with substantial overlap.

In cases of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, TES adheres to COPE guidelines and may request corrections or issue retractions, with each case assessed individually. This may involve rejecting submitted manuscripts or correcting/retracting published articles. Unintentional errors will be corrected through an erratum, whereas retracted articles will remain accessible, but clearly identified as such.

Article Withdrawal Policy

TES’s manuscript withdrawal policy sets forth the norms and procedures applicable to requests for the removal of manuscripts submitted to the journal’s editorial process, aiming to ensure the ethical integrity of publications and to acknowledge the work invested by reviewers and editors throughout the publication process.

The applicable rules vary according to the stage of the manuscript. Prior to peer review, withdrawal is permitted without penalty. During peer review, withdrawal is only permitted upon provision of a consistent justification, such as methodological errors or ethical concerns. In exceptional cases of excessive delay in the editorial process, duly substantiated, withdrawal may also be considered upon a justified request by the authors.

After acceptance or during the proof stage, withdrawal is considered by TES an unethical practice, except under exceptional circumstances, such as the identification of fraud or inaccurate data. Once published, an article cannot be withdrawn and will thereafter be governed by TES’s _Ethics and Misconduct, Erratum and Retraction Policy*, available in this same section.

Withdrawal requests must be submitted through the journal’s system under the subject line “Manuscript Withdrawal,” accompanied by the relevant justifications and a statement of agreement signed by all co-authors. All co-authors must acknowledge and consent to the request for withdrawal of the manuscript.

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any personal, commercial, political, academic, or financial interests that could influence the evaluation or preparation of the manuscript. It is the responsibility of authors to disclose potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission via a signed declaration form. Further details on the disclosure of financial and non-financial relationships, activities, and conflicts of interest can be found in the journal’s guide: Disclosure of Financial and Non-Financial Relationships and Activities, and Conflicts of Interest.  Information regarding competing interests will be published at the end of each article.

TES uses the iThenticate plagiarism detection system for texts previously selected by scientific publishers and prepared for peer review. The text is registered on this system's anti-plagiarism platform, which automatically performs the process of searching and comparing possible sources. The system's reports are evaluated by the editorial staff and, when necessary, we request additional information from the authors.

The use of tools and resources that assist authors in preparing their manuscripts is recommended as long as attribution guidelines are respected and scientific ethics and integrity are maintained. Thus, authors have the right and freedom to use tools and resources that assist in the preparation, writing, revision, and translation of their articles. Many of these tools and resources are provided by AI applications. We recommend: the Guide to using Artificial Intelligence tools and resources for communicating research on the SciELO Network.

TES uses AI for plagiarism detection through the iThenticate application. We also use Copilot for translating titles, abstracts, and keywords into English and Spanish, as well as alternatively producing versions of Portuguese in other languages, since it is TES policy to publish all articles in Portuguese.

Authors are responsible for using the tool ethically, thus avoiding the use of AI-generated results without human review. The methodological section should specify the ways in which AI is used, and this use must be explicitly stated.

The editorial team of Trabalho, Educação e Saúde, as well as the authors who publish in the journal, must always observe the guidelines on Sex and Gender Equity in Research – SAGER. The SAGER guidelines comprise a set of guidelines that guide the reporting of sex and gender information in study design, data analysis, and the interpretation of findings. Also, TES observes a policy of gender equity in the formation of its editorial board, having been the first Fiocruz journal to have a scientific editorial board composed exclusively of women.

Authors must attach a statement of approval from the ethics committee of the institution responsible for approving the research. All articles will include information about ethics committee approval in the information box at the end of each article.

The authors of articles published in TES retain copyright to their articles. The transfer of copyright is non-exclusive. All authors must sign the copyright transfer agreement, according to the model adopted by Fiocruz journals, prior to publication of the article.

Since 2015, TES has adopted the CC BY 4.0 license, which allows sharing (copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes) and adaptation (remixing, transforming, and building upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes), with attribution of authorship.

All content on TES, unless otherwise indicated, is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY 4.0 license, which maximizes dissemination and enables informed use of the copyright of licensed materials.

Authors of articles published by TES retain copyright to their work, licensing it under the Creative Commons Attribution license, which allows the articles to be reused and distributed without restriction, provided the original work is properly cited.

TES encourages authors to self-archive their accepted manuscripts, publishing them on personal blogs, institutional repositories, and academic social media, as well as posting them on their personal social media, provided that full citation to the journal's website version is included.

Before submitting your manuscript, authors are requested to read the TES Editorial policy and the About the Journal section to assess whether their text is in line with our editorial scope.

The manuscripts must be submitted by the Journal's online review system, available here. We will not consider contributions sent by email.

To submit the text to the journal, the responsible author must register in the system and then register their text, providing their ORCID and those of any co-authors.

The authors are responsible for the content of their articles, which do not necessarily represent the opinion of the editors and members of the journal's Editorial Board.

Manuscripts submitted to Trabalho, Educação e Saúde must not have been published previously and must not be submitted simultaneously to another journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not, under any circumstances, be withdrawn after the evaluation process has begun.

All works approved upon final publication in Trabalho, Educação e Saúde will receive their Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

The journal accepts original articles and review articles as unsolicited submissions.

Articles must present empirical or conceptual research results. Length between 4,000 and 7,000 words, not including titles and abstracts, bibliographic references, figures, and notes.

Review Articles must present critical, systematic, and methodologically consistent analyses of the scientific literature on a priority topic for the journal. They must clearly state their objectives, sources consulted, and the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Length: 4,000 to 7,000 words, not including bibliographic references, figures, and notes. According to Open Science guidelines, the data used in the research must be made available on and following the SciELO Data methodology. In the case of literature reviews, these will be considered an essential part of the text. It is necessary to include, as a supplementary file, a table containing: the references of all records collected in the search phase; the references of the excluded articles, explicitly stating the application of each exclusion criterion.

In addition to unsolicited submissions, TES publishes original contributions in the following sections:

Essays: At the invitation of the editorial board. Textual production with broad theoretical and analytical scope, non-conclusive and non-exhaustive. Length: 4,000 to 7,000 words, not including bibliographical references, figures, and notes.

Current affairs notes: At the invitation of the editorial board. Systematic and informed discussion of the current social landscape, particularly with regard to the organization of work, public policy, and the fields of health and education.

Debates: At the invitation of the editorial board. Discussion on topics central to the journal.

Interviews: At the invitation of the editorial board. Opinion or position of interviewees qualified in the areas of expertise covered by the magazine.

Book reviews: At the invitation of the editorial board. Review of a book related to the magazine's areas of interest, published or translated in the last three years.

TES does not publish clinical trials.

For publication, a description of each author's responsibilities for the article will be required, according to the CREDiT taxonomy structure, adapted by TES. The terms of responsibility for all aspects of the work will be sent to the author(s) at the end of the editorial process, who must sign it and return it to the journal.

When submitting a manuscript, it is essential to read and comply with the publication guidelines referred to by the journal. For this, there is a checklist (Submission Conditions) to follow before finalizing the submission.

Upon first access, the corresponding author must fill in their details (name, ORCID, email, institution) to create their profile. When submitting the manuscript, they must fill in the details of the co-authors in the correct order of authorship.

Submissions must be typed in Word, using Times New Roman font, size 12, and double-spaced. Articles, essays, current affairs notes, and debates must also include an abstract in Portuguese, Spanish, and English of no more than 200 words, and a title in English and Spanish, in addition to the title in the original language. Manuscripts may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, English, or French. The title should be concise and representative of the text's content.

The author(s) must indicate whether the research is funded, whether it is the result of a master's dissertation or doctoral thesis, whether it has been approved by the Ethics Committee in the field, whether there is a conflict of interest, whether it has been deposited in preprint or has had any other form of previous presentation (e.g., abstract, oral presentation at a conference), and the type of data availability.

Keywords A minimum of three and a maximum of five keywords describing the content of the work, presented in the original language, in Spanish (palabras clave) and in English (keywords).

Notes We request that this information be included in the body of the text for accessibility by automatic readers. When strictly necessary, footnotes should be placed at the end of the text, concise, and numbered consecutively. They should not be used for bibliographic references.

Emphasis Please refrain from using underlining and bolding. Single quotation marks may be used to draw attention to a particular item in the text. Words from languages ​​other than Portuguese should be italicized, as should titles of works mentioned.

Figures Tables, charts, diagrams, photographs, graphs, and illustrations must be inserted in their proper place within the text and also submitted separately as supplementary material. They should not exceed a maximum of six per article, except for specific exceptions related to the manuscript's subject field, in which case the author should communicate with the editors beforehand. All figures, except photographs, must be numbered and titled. References must be made using numbers (e.g., Graph 3) and not expressions such as "the figure below". Please attach graphic elements (images, maps, flowcharts, figures) in separate files to the system, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, preferably in open or vector files from the source programs, or in .png, .cdr, .jpg, .ppt, or .xls formats.

Citations For citation purposes, the journal follows the NBR 10520:2002 standard of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT), with some modifications. TES adopts the Author-date system, with the authors' last names written in upper and lower case and the year of publication in the body of the article. Example: (Frigotto and Ciavatta, 2001).

Direct citations within the body of the text, up to three lines long, must be enclosed in double quotation marks, followed by the author's last name, and then, in parentheses, the year and page number. Or: direct citation, with the author's first name, year, and page number in parentheses. Single quotation marks indicate a quotation within a quotation. Examples:

Minayo (2001, p. 74) describes: "[...] content analysis is understood much more as a set of techniques".
Monograph “in the broad sense, is any ‘first-hand’ scientific work resulting from scientific research” (Salomon, 1978, p. 219).

If a direct citation exceeds three lines, it should be indented 4 cm from the left margin and in 11-point font. Example:

The intensive use of microelectronics and the increasing automation of laboratories, especially since the 1980s, has been causing significant changes in the production process, work organization, and social relations (Deluiz, p. 99, 1995).

In indirect citations, indicating the page(s) consulted is optional. An indirect citation occurs when the author bases their text on the work of the consulted author. Example: 

Emotions, regardless of whether or not they are linked to the organizational environment, influence people's performance (Frost, 2003).

If the citation includes text translated by the author, it must include the term "our translation". Example:
"At the end of two weeks, evaluate your experience" (McGraw, Deane and Francis, 2009, p. 28, our translation).

In the case of citations with three authors, all must be named; for more than three authors, only the surname of the first author should appear in the text, as in Spink et al. (2001).

To emphasize parts of the citation, highlight them with the expression "our emphasis" in parentheses after the citation, or "author's emphasis" if the emphasis is already part of the consulted work. Examples:
The scarcity hypothesis alone does not explain the process of value change in a society. (Okado and Ribeiro, 2017, p. 10, author's emphasis).

In terms of behavior, motivation can be conceptualized as the effort and tenacity exerted by a person to do something or achieve something. (Chiavenato, 1994, p. 165, our emphasis)

Adopt the chronological order in which the documents were published, separated by semicolons in the case of several cited sequentially. Example: 

(Crespo, 2005; Costa and Ramalho, 2008; Moresi et al., 2010).

References For the preparation of references, Trabalho, Educação e Saúde relies on the ABNT standard NBR 6023:2018, with slight modifications. Bibliographic references must be listed, in alphabetical order by author, at the end of the manuscript and must include all works cited in the body of the text, thus forming the list of references, without entry numbering and with single spacing between them. When there are up to three authors, all must be listed. In the case of more than three authors, list only the first author, followed by et al. The authors' first names should be written in full in the references. Different titles by the same author published in the same year should be distinguished by adding a lowercase letter (a, b, c...) after the date, both in citations within the text and in the list of bibliographic references. Journal titles should be written in full. The author is responsible for the accuracy and relevance of references. For cases not exemplified, the author should consult ABNT standard NBR 6023:2018. If there is a DOI number for the document, it must be included at the end of the reference. See the following examples:
