The text considers the relations between education and communication. Prevail in researches about these relationships the analysis of the uses of media in the schools and critical readings of what it is diffused in several kinds of media, accordance with the schools programs. This text considers the relation between education and communication in a differentiated way. Links the essence of communicational process with the essence of the educational process: teaching and learning. Analyzes possibilities of use of the digital communication to extend teach and learning, independent where the people are. The media convergence makes possible the convergence between people, interested in changing information and learning meetings. These actions already occur spontaneously in virtual communities and inter-institutional groups of research. They present themselves as new forms of practical educational mediated.
