ABSTRACT
This essay aimed to present the dossier about epistemology of Physical Education, produced by the RBCE. As a presentation bias, it was decided to bring elements that allow us to enter into the debate on the guiding foundations of criticism of the so-called postmodernity. Without intending to exhaust this debate, an expression of postmodern thought was shown with characterizations that end up disregarding central categories of Marxian thought. We focused, in particular, on one of them: the category of totality. We hope, therefore, to contribute so that, in times of fight against authoritarian and even fascist manifestations that we see in contemporary capitalism, our “battle of ideas” takes place in a fertile and fruitful environment.
