Abstract: Feminists take a variety of different approaches to discussions of the law, and many researchers have focused on studying the possibility of employing feminist legal methods of “doing” and “knowing” in law. Feminist authors discuss the possibility of applying feminist methods to question truth claims in law and challenge the power relations the law creates and recreates based on markers such as gender, race, and class. We have organized our work around three components of a method developed by Katharine Bartlett-the woman question, feminist practical reasoning and consciousness-raising-to analyze the knowledge produced regarding the imprisonment of women for drug offenses in Brazil in the 21st century. We consider how feminist methods may be applied in this and other contexts which involve a great deal of marginalization. Drawing on Ochy Curiel’s interpretation of the concept of the coloniality of knowledge, we ask: How can we decolonize feminist methods in order to adapt them to the needs and realities of the Global South? We focus on the idea of translation, advocated for by a number of Latin American and North American authors whose work touches on themes of centrality (North) and marginality (South), as a method of producing “connected epistemologies” which encourage alliances and challenge reductionist interpretations of feminist theories. Our aim is to contribute to a horizontal dialogue between the Global North and South in feminist studies without disregarding the uniqueness of the realities of our research subjects.

Resumen: Entre las diversas dimensiones que pueden tomar los feminismos en su interacción con el derecho, muchas investigadoras se han centrado en estudiar la posibilidad de emplear métodos legales feministas para «hacer» y «saber» en derecho. Autoras feministas discuten las posibilidades de aplicar métodos feministas para cuestionar las pretensiones de verdad que produce el derecho y las relaciones de poder que crea y recrea a partir de marcadores sociales como el género, la raza y la clase. En nuestra investigación, trabajamos con tres ejes de un método desarrollado por Katharine Bartlett -la pregunta por la mujer, el razonamiento práctico feminista y el incremento de conciencia- para analizar el conocimiento producido acerca de la criminalización de las mujeres por tráfico de drogas en Brasil en el siglo XXI. Reflexionamos sobre cómo aplicar métodos feministas en este y otros contextos de marginación. Trabajando con la interpretación del concepto de colonialidad del saber de Ochy Curiel, nos preguntamos: ¿cómo podemos decolonizar los métodos feministas para adaptarlos a las necesidades y la realidad del Sur global? Utilizamos la idea de traducción desarrollada por algunas autoras latinoamericanas y norteamericanas que transitan por espacios de centralidad (Norte) y marginalidad (Sur) en sus obras como una forma de producción de «epistemologías conectadas» que estimulan alianzas y confrontan interpretaciones reduccionistas de las teorías feministas. Con este trabajo, buscamos contribuir al diálogo horizontal en los estudios feministas entre el Norte y el Sur globales sin descuidar la singularidad de las realidades de los sujetos estudiados.

An integrative literature review was carried out, operationalized in the databases: PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, and Spanish Bibliographical Index of Health Sciences, from 2008 to 2022, with keyword syntax keys for each base. Data analysis was carried out by similarity of content, and categories were subsequently elaborated. A total of 46 articles were selected for analysis, one national and the others published in foreign journals. Abstract Introduction Chronic intestinal constipation (CIC) presents an incidence of 2.6 to 30.7% in the overall population and due to the social reality imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, some behavior changes in the Brazilian population occurred that might or not be associated with alterations of CIC prevalence. Objective To assess CIC incidence in medical students before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil in a private higher educational institution in the city of São Paulo, state of São Paulo. Methods Clinic data were collected through Google Forms software from the same students seeking to analyze the variables before (year of 2019) and during the coronavirus pandemic. The data were: age, sex, body mass index, constipation referred in a subjective way and confirmed through the ROME III criteria, feces consistency and anxiety and/or depression during the pandemic. Results A total of 126 medical students from a private higher education institution from São Paulo, SP were included. The average age was 22.9 years old, 70.6% were female and the average BMI was 23.3 kg/m2. Regarding the ROME III criteria, 32.5% presented > 2 in 2019 and 42.1% during the pandemic. Concerning the feces consistency, 31.75 and 35.71% presented dry Bristol 1 feces or in both periods, respectively. Conclusion It was observed an increase in the prevalence of chronic intestinal constipation in medical students from a private higher education institution from São Paulo, state of São Paulo, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as dryness in the feces.

Abstract Objective To analyze how the care of patients with acute ischemic stroke occurs, considering the care flows and the restrictive and facilitating elements of care in the emergency care network. Methods This is a study based on the Grounded Theory methodological framework. We interviewed 75 health professionals from the Brazilian Mobile Emergency Care Service, Emergency Care Unit and reference hospital in the city of Salvador, Bahia. Results A total of 14 categories and 66 subcategories emerged that represented the phenomenon studied, revealing causal factors of network fragmentation such as lack of vacancies and resources, need for improvement in the care protocol, hospital bureaucratization, lack of knowledge by the population, despite the efforts of professionals to meet this patient. Professional interaction revealed the absence of a single language, obstacles in professional relationships, lack of knowledge of the other’s role, difficulty in regulating patients and sharing some goals in the network. Consequently, patients left the care line, care for patients outside the therapeutic window, the need to impose a ‘zero vacancy’, and better care when patients had access to specialized unit. Facilitating elements also concern the sharing of goals in the network and the effort of professionals to attend to window patients. Conclusion The network fragmentation reveals the need for management interventions to improve care, standardizing it and making care comprehensive and equitable.

Resumen Objetivo Analizar cómo se realiza la asistencia a pacientes con accidente cerebrovascular isquémico agudo considerando los flujos de asistencia y los elementos restrictivos y facilitadores de la atención en la Red de Atención de Urgencias y Emergencias. Métodos Se trata de un estudio basado en el marco referencial metodológico de la Grounded Theory. Fueron entrevistados 75 profesionales de la salud del Servicio de Atención Móvil de Urgencia, de la Unidad de Pronta Atención y del Hospital Referencia de la ciudad de Salvador, estado de Bahia. Resultados Surgieron 14 categorías y 66 subcategorías que representan el fenómeno estudiado y revelan factores causales de la fragmentación de la red, como falta de camas y recursos, necesidades de mejora del protocolo de atención, burocracia hospitalaria, desconocimiento de la población, a pesar de los esfuerzos de los profesionales en atender ese paciente. La interacción profesional reveló ausencia de un lenguaje único, trabas en las relaciones profesionales, desconocimiento del papel del otro, dificultades para regular al paciente e intercambio de algunos objetivos de la red. Consecuentemente, se produjo la salida del paciente de la línea de cuidado, la atención a pacientes fuera de la ventana terapéutica, la necesidad de aplicación de la “cama de reserva” y una mejor atención cuando el paciente tuvo acceso a la unidad especializada. Los elementos facilitadores también se refieren a compartir objetivos en la red y al esfuerzo de los profesionales para atender al paciente en ventana. Conclusión La fragmentación de la red revela la necesidad de intervenciones gerenciales en el sentido de mejorar y estandarizar la atención para que sea completa y ecuánime.

Resumo Objetivo Analisar como ocorre o atendimento de pacientes com Acidente Vascular Cerebral isquêmico agudo considerando os fluxos assistenciais e os elementos restritivos e facilitadores do atendimento na Rede de Atenção às Urgências e Emergências. Métodos Trata-se de estudo fundamentado no referencial metodológico da Grounded Theory. Foram entrevistados 75 profissionais de saúde do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência, da Unidade de Pronto Atendimento e do Hospital Referência na cidade de Salvador, Bahia. Resultados Emergiram 14 categorias e 66 subcategorias que representaram o fenômeno estudado, revelando fatores causais da fragmentação da rede como falta de vaga e de recursos, necessidade de melhoria no protocolo de atendimento, burocratização hospitalar, desconhecimento da população, apesar dos esforços dos profissionais em atender esse paciente. A interação profissional revelou ausência de linguagem única, entraves nas relações profissionais, desconhecimento do papel do outro, dificuldade em regular o paciente e compartilhamento de alguns objetivos na Rede. Consequentemente houve a saída do paciente da Linha de Cuidado, atendimento dos pacientes fora de janela terapêutica, necessidade de imposição da ‘vaga zero’, e um melhor atendimento quando o paciente teve acesso à unidade especializada. Elementos facilitadores dizem respeito também ao compartilhamento de objetivos na rede e ao esforço dos profissionais para atender o paciente em janela. Conclusão A fragmentação da Rede revela necessidade de intervenções gerenciais no sentido de aprimorar o atendimento, padronizando-o e tornando a assistência integral e equânime.

BACKGROUND Dengue is a disease caused by dengue virus (DENV-1 through -4). Among the four serotypes, DENV-4 remains the least studied. Acute kidney injury is a potential complication of dengue generally associated with severe dengue infection. OBJECTIVES The goal of this study was to investigate the alterations caused by experimental dengue infection in the kidney of adult BALB/c mice. METHODS In this study, BALB/c mice were infected through the intravenous route with a DENV-4 strain, isolated from a human patient. The kidneys of the mice were procured and subject to histopathological and ultrastructural analysis. FINDINGS The presence of the viral antigen was confirmed through immunohistochemistry. Analysis of tissue sections revealed the presence of inflammatory cell infiltrate throughout the parenchyma. Glomerular enlargement was a common find. Necrosis of tubular cells and haemorrhage were also observed. Analysis of the kidney on a transmission electron microscope allowed a closer look into the necrotic tubular cells, which presented nuclei with condensed chromatin, and loss of cytoplasm. MAIN CONCLUSIONS Even though the kidney is probably not a primary target of dengue infection in mice, the inoculation of the virus in the blood appears to damage the renal tissue through local inflammation.

Abstract Background The presence of Extracapsular Extension (ECE) in the Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB) is still a doubt in the literature. Some studies suggest that the presence of ECE may be related to a greater number of positive axillary lymph nodes which could impact Disease Free Survival (DFS) and Overall Survival (OS). This study searches for the clinical significance of the ECE. Methods Retrospective cohort comparing the presence or absence of ECE in T1-2 invasive breast cancer with positive SLNB. All cases treated surgically at the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo (ICESP) between 2009 and 2013 were analyzed. All patients with axillary disease in SLNB underwent AD. Outcomes Identify the association between the presence and length of ECE and additional axillary positive lymph nodes, OS and DFS between both groups. Results 128 patients with positive SLNB were included, and 65 had ECE. The mean metastasis size of 0.62 (SD = 0.59) mm at SLNB was related to the presence of ECE (p < 0.008). The presence of ECE was related to a higher mean of positive sentinel lymph nodes, 3.9 (± 4.8) vs. 2.0 (± 2.1), p = 0.001. The median length of follow-up was 115 months. The OS and DFS rates had no differences between the groups. Conclusion The presence of ECE was associated with additional positive axillary lymph nodes in this study. Therefore, the OS and DFS were similar in both groups after 10 years of follow-up. It is necessary for additional studies to define the importance of AD when SLNB with ECE.

ABSTRACT Drimys brasiliensis Miers, popularly known as cataia, is a tree species native to the Atlantic Forest that has phytochemical, phytotherapeutic, aromatic and economic importance, with wide use in folk medicine. It is considered a species of difficult multiplication via seeds, presenting dormancy due to embryonic immaturity. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the vegetative rescue, in vitro establishment and propagation by way of cuttings of Drimys brasiliensis. For the rescue, the girdling techniques were applied at 30 and 90 cm from the ground, semi-girdling at 30 cm from the ground and pruned branches conditioned vertically and horizontally, being evaluated the shoot emission capacity. With the shoots obtained by vegetative rescue, the explants used for in vitro establishment were made, evaluating different immersion times in sodium hypochlorite 1.0 % (v/v) (0, 10, 15 and 20 minutes). The percentages of total, bacterial, fungal contamination and phenolic oxidation were evaluated. On the cuttings, shoots from vegetative rescue, from the aerial part of an adult individual and from detached branches were tested and placed in a mini-tunnel. The percentage of cuttings survival, percentage of cuttings with callus and percentage of rooting were evaluated. Regarding the vegetative rescue, the technique of pruned branches resulted in the induction of shoots, highlighting the branches conditioned vertically (100%). In the in vitro establishment, the immersion in sodium hypochlorite (1%) for 20 minutes proved to be efficient in the control of fungal contamination, however, no significant differences were observed in relation to the control of bacterial contamination. In cuttings, the use of cuttings from pruned branches or girdling/semi-girdling showed potential for these techniques in the cloning of the species, obtaining results close to 10% rooting. In general, the species has the potential for vegetative propagation, however, adjustments are necessary in the in vitro establishment and cutting protocols.

RESUMO Drimys brasiliensis Miers, conhecida popularmente por cataia, é uma espécie arbórea nativa da Mata Atlântica que apresenta importância fitoquímica, fitoterapêutica, aromática e econômica, com amplo uso na medicina popular. É considerada uma espécie de difícil multiplicação via sementes, apresentando dormência por imaturidade embrionária. Assim, objetivou-se com este estudo analisar o resgate vegetativo, estabelecimento in vitro e a propagação via estaquia de Drimys brasiliensis. Para o resgate, realizou-se a aplicação das técnicas de anelamento a 30 e 90 cm do solo, semianelamento a 30 cm do solo e galhos podados acondicionados vertical e horizontalmente, sendo avaliada a capacidade de emissão de brotações. Com as brotações obtidas pelo resgate vegetativo, foram confeccionados os explantes utilizados para o estabelecimento in vitro, avaliando diferentes tempos de imersão em hipoclorito de sódio 1,0 % (v/v) (0, 10, 15 e 20 minutos). Foram avaliadas as percentagens de contaminação total, bacteriana, fúngica e oxidação fenólica. Na estaquia foram testadas brotações oriundas do resgate vegetativo, da parte aérea de indivíduo adulto e de galhos destacados e acondicionados em mini-túnel. Avaliaram-se a porcentagem de sobrevivência das estacas, porcentagem de estacas com calos e porcentagem de enraizamento. Em relação ao resgate vegetativo, a técnica de galhos podados resultou na indução de brotações, destacando os galhos acondicionados verticalmente (100%). No estabelecimento in vitro, a imersão em hipoclorito de sódio (1%) por 20 minutos se mostrou eficiente no controle da contaminação por fungos, entretanto, não foram observadas diferenças significativas em relação ao controle de contaminação bacteriana. Na estaquia, o uso de estacas provenientes de galhos podados ou anelamento/semianelamento mostrou potencial para estas técnicas na clonagem da espécie, obtendo resultados próximos a 10% de enraizamento. No geral, a espécie apresenta potencial de propagação vegetativa, contudo, são necessários ajustes nos protocolos de estabelecimento in vitro e estaquia.

Abstract Objective: The authors investigated the functional status at ICU admission and at hospital discharge, and the impact of dysfunctions on survivors’ lifespan. Method: Single-center retrospective cohort. The FSS (Functional Status Scale) was calculated at ICU admission and at hospital discharge. A new morbidity was defined as an increase in FSS ≥ 3. Results: Among 1002 patients, there were 855 survivors. Of these, 194 (22.6%) had died by the end of the study; 45 (5.3%) had a new morbidity. Means in the motor domain at admission and discharge were 1.37 (SD: 0.82) and 1.53 (SD 0.95, p = 0.002). In the feeding domain, the means were 1.19 (SD 0.63) and 1.30 (SD 0.76), p = 0.002; global means were 6.93 (SD 2.45) and 7.2 (SD 2.94), p = 0.007. Acute respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation, the score PRISM IV, age < 5 years, and central nervous system tumors were independent predictors of new morbidity. New morbidity correlated with lower odds of survival after hospital discharge, considering all causes of death (p = 0.014), and was independently predictive of death (Cox hazard ratio = 1.98). In Weibull models, shortening in the life span of 14.2% (p = 0.014) was estimated as a new morbidity. Conclusions: New morbidities are related to age, disease severity at admission, and SNC tumors. New morbidities, in turn, correlate with lower probabilities of survival and shortening of the remaining life span. Physical rehabilitation interventions in this population of children may have the potential to provide an increase in lifespan.

Abstract This article aims to analyze how students involved in feminist judgment projects in 2021-2022 perceive the impact of such experiences on their legal education. We have enumerated the effects perceived by undergraduate and postgraduate students resulting from the project in their educational institutions and in their formation as legal scholars. The study was qualitative and used a virtual questionnaire for data collection. The literature review encompasses works on the pedagogical aspects of feminist rewriting projects in various countries, including those addressing challenges to critical legal education in Brazil. Our analysis confirms the potential of feminist rewriting practices to enhance the critical and interdisciplinary education of law students.

Resumo O objetivo do presente artigo é analisar a percepção de estudantes que participaram dos projetos de reescrita de decisões judiciais em perspectivas feministas entre 2021 e 2022 sobre os impactos da experiência na formação jurídica. Elencamos os efeitos que estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação perceberam que foram produzidos pelo projeto em suas instituições de ensino e na sua formação como juristas. O estudo foi qualitativo e se valeu de um questionário em formato virtual para coleta dos dados. A revisão bibliográfica que informa o presente estudo, considerou a literatura que aborda a dimensão pedagógica dos projetos de reescrita feminista em vários países e os estudos que discutem os desafios da formação jurídica crítica no Brasil. Os resultados da análise confirmam o potencial das atividades de reescrita feminista em favorecer a formação crítica e interdisciplinar de estudantes de direito.

BACKGROUND According to the last 2023 Monkeypox (Mpox) Outbreak Global Map from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 100 countries with no Mpox infection report cases. Brazil stands out in this group and is the second country with the highest number of cases in the last outbreak. OBJECTIVE To contribute to knowledge of the virus infection effects in a cellular model, which is important for diagnosis infections not yet included in a provider´s differential diagnosis and for developing viral inhibition strategies. METHODS We describe a virus isolation protocol for a human clinical sample from a patient from Brazil, the viral growth in a cell model through plaque forming units (PFU) assay, reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). FINDINGS We follow the viral isolation in Vero cell culture from a Mpox positive clinically diagnosed sample and show the infection effects on cellular structures using a TEM. MAIN CONCLUSIONS Understanding the impact of viral growth on cellular structures and its replication kinetics may offer better strategies for the development of new drugs with antiviral properties.

Abstract This work aims to map and discuss the representations constructed around the “female offender” in a Brazilian Criminal Sciences journal, as well as to demarcate absences of this category, using a feminist legal method. For this, we used the documentary analysis, cutting a sample composed of articles from the Brazilian Journal of Criminal Sciences published in the last twenty years with the theme of the illicit trade in narcotics. The material was read through the content analysis technique, directed by Katharine Bartlett’s proposal in Feminist Legal Methods. In the end, in the context of a growing increase on women’s criminalization and in the interest on this theme, we conclude that, although the “female offender” category is present in most of the sample, it was mobilized more descriptively - for the composition of a scenario - than as an analytical category, by the reflexivity on gender and crime.

Resumo Este artigo tem como objetivo mapear e discutir as representações construídas em torno da “criminosa” em um periódico das Ciências Criminais brasileiras, bem como demarcar ausências dessa categoria, a partir de um método jurídico feminista. Para tanto, utilizamos a análise documental, recortando uma amostra composta de artigos da Revista Brasileira de Ciências Criminais (RBCCrim) publicados nos últimos vinte anos com a temática do comércio ilícito de entorpecentes. O material foi lido sob a ótica da técnica de análise de conteúdo, direcionada pela proposta de Katharine Bartlett em Feminist Legal Methods. Ao final, no contexto de crescente aumento da criminalização da mulher e do interesse pelo tema, concluímos que, apesar de a categoria “criminosa” estar presente em grande parte da amostra, ela foi mobilizada mais de forma descritiva - para a composição de um cenário - do que como categoria analítica, a partir da reflexividade sobre gênero e crime.

ABSTRACT Coronary artery fistula draining into the coronary sinus is a rare vascular malformation, and its diagnosis and clinical manifestations usually occur late. We describe the case of a 72-year-old female patient with dyspnea on exertion (New York Heart Association Class III) associated with palpitations. The transthoracic echocardiogram showed significant tricuspid insufficiency. Cardiac catheterization showed aneurysm of the circumflex coronary artery and fistula of this artery draining into the coronary sinus. The patient underwent fistula ligation and tricuspid valve repair, with excellent surgical results.

Abstract Background International studies performed during the periods of social isolation highlighted the potential loss of student's learning skills. The present study fills a gap in Brazilian research on this topic and focuses on the development of reading fluency. Objective To investigate the development of the reading fluency of students in the early years of elementary school during e-learning as a result of the social distancing measures put into effect due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods Students from grades 2 to 5 were recorded. The number of words read per minute and of those read correctly per minute were analyzed. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed, using analysis of variance (ANOVA) for repeated measures with Bonferroni correction in the longitudinal study, and the t-test in the cross-sectional study. Results In the cross-sectional study, 162 students participated. Only the comparison between the 2nd grade classes of 2020 and 2021 showed a statistically significant difference. In the prepandemic classes, the students had better results in reading accuracy than the students assessed during the pandemic. The longitudinal study included 75 students, who improved in fluency rate and accuracy as expected between March and December 2020. In March 2021, the results showed a drop, which may be related to school closures during the Brazilian summer vacation. Conclusions The present research demonstrates the results of Brazilian students in terms of the development of reading fluency during the pandemic. There was an expressive development in grades 2 and 3, with stability in the following grades. The 2nd grade class of 2021 suffered a major impact due to the pandemic.

Resumo Antecedentes Estudos internacionais realizados durante os períodos de isolamento social destacaram a potencial perda das habilidades de aprendizagem dos alunos. O presente estudo preenche uma lacuna nas pesquisas brasileiras sobre este tema, e se centra no desenvolvimento da fluência de leitura. Objetivo Investigar o desenvolvimento da fluência de leitura de alunos nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental durante as aulas remotas ministradas em decorrência das medidas de distanciamento social postas em prática por conta da pandemia de doença do coronavírus 2019 (coronavirus disease 2019, COVID-19, em inglês). Métodos Estudantes do 2o ao 5o anos foram gravados. Foram analisadoso número de palavras lidas por minuto e o de palavras lidas corretamente por minuto. Realizou-se análise estatística descritiva por meio de análise de variância (analysis of variance, ANOVA, em inglês) para medidas repetidas com correção de Bonferroni no estudo longitudinal, e teste T no estudo transversal. Resultados Ao todo, 162 estudantes participaram do estudo transversal. Apenas a comparação entre as turmas de 2o ano de 2020 e 2021 apresentou diferença estatisticamente significativa. Nas aulas pré-pandemia, as turmas apresentaram resultados melhores em termos de precisão de leitura do que as turmas avaliadas durante a pandemia. O estudo longitudinal incluiu 75 alunos; entre março e dezembro de 2020, eles melhoraram sua taxa de fluência e acurácia, conforme esperado. Em março de 2021, os resultados mostraram uma queda, o que pode estar relacionado ao fechamento das escolas durante as férias. Conclusões Esta pesquisa demonstra os resultados do desenvolvimento da leitura de uma amostra de estudantes brasileiros durante a pandemia. Houve uma evolução expressiva no 2° e 3° anos, com estabilidade nos anos seguintes. A turma de 2° ano de 2021 sofreu um grande impacto devido à pandemia.

RESUMO Objetivo: analisar a autonomia reprodutiva em mulheres quilombolas e os fatores intervenientes da transmissão intergeracional entre mães e filhas. Método: estudo transversal e analítico desenvolvido com 160 mulheres, mães e filhas de comunidades quilombolas do município de Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. Utilizou-se o questionário da Pesquisa Nacional de Saúde para verificar características sociodemográficas e fatores intervenientes; e a Escala de Autonomia Reprodutiva. Foram aplicados testes qui-quadrado, Mann-Whitney e Wilcoxon. Os dados foram analisados através de regressão linear simples e múltipla. Resultados: o grupo das mães apresentou maior frequência de mulheres casadas ou com companheiro (66,2%), que trabalhavam (51,2%) e maior renda (358,00 ± 663,00). As filhas apresentaram mais anos de estudo (10,50 ± 5,00). A autonomia reprodutiva e a transmissão intergeracional entre mães e filhas ocorrem, sobretudo, nos domínios Ausência de Coerção (CCI=0,70; p=0368) e Comunicação (CCI=0,69; p=0694). A idade da mãe (β-ajustado=-0,027; p=0,039) e cor/raça da filha (β-ajustado=0,423; p=0,049) foram fatores intervenientes na transmissão intergeracional relacionada a Tomada de Decisão, associados a menor idade da mãe e ao autorreconhecimento da filha como negra. Conclusão: as filhas não acompanham a mesma escolha das mães, o que pode ser entendido por uma maior acessibilidade aos serviços de planejamento reprodutivo e aumento nos níveis de escolaridade. A transmissão intergeracional entre quilombolas apresenta especificidades importantes para decisões reprodutivas e possibilita melhor entendimento das informações e qualificação da assistência dos profissionais de saúde no cuidado com essas mulheres.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze reproductive autonomy in quilombola women and the intervening factors of intergenerational transmission between mothers and daughters. Method: a cross-sectional and analytical study developed with 160 women, mothers and daughters from quilombola communities in the municipality of Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. The National Health Survey questionnaire was used to verify sociodemographic characteristics and intervening factors; and the Reproductive Autonomy Scale was also employed. The Chi-square, Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon tests were applied. The data were analyzed by means of simple and multiple linear regression. Results: the group of mothers presented higher frequency of women that are married or live with a partner (66.2%), who worked (51.2%) and who had higher incomes (358.00 ± 663.00). The daughters presented more years of study (10.50 ± 5.00). Reproductive autonomy and intergenerational transmission between mothers and daughters mainly occur in the Absence of coercion (ICC=0.70; p=0368) and Communication (ICC=0.69; p=0694) domains. The mother's age (β-adjusted=-0.027; p=0.039) and the daughter's skin color/race (β-adjusted=0.423; p=0.049) were intervening factors in intergenerational transmission related to Decision-making, associated with the mother's age and with the daughter's self-recognition as black-skinned. Conclusion: the daughters do not follow the same choice as their mothers, which can be understood due to greater accessibility to reproductive planning services and increased schooling levels. Intergenerational transmission among quilombolas presents important specificities for reproductive decisions and enables a better understanding of the information and qualification of the health professionals' assistance in the care provided to these women.

RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar la autonomía reproductiva en mujeres quilombolas y los factores intergeneracionales de transmisión entre madres e hijas. Método: estudio transversal y analítico desarrollado con 160 mujeres, madres e hijas de comunidades quilombolas de la ciudad de Vitória da Conquista, Bahía. Se utilizó el cuestionario de la Pesquisa Nacional de Saúde para verificar las características sociodemográficas y los factores intervinientes; y la Escala de Autonomía Reproductiva. Se aplicaron las pruebas de Chi-cuadrado, Mann-Whitney y Wilcoxon. Los datos se analizaron mediante regresión lineal simple y múltiple. Resultados: el grupo de madres presentó mayor frecuencia de mujeres casadas o con pareja (66,2%), que trabajaban (51,2%) y tenían mayores ingresos (358,00 ± 663,00). Las hijas presentaron más años de escolaridad (10,50 ± 5,00). La autonomía reproductiva y la transmisión intergeneracional entre madres e hijas ocurren especialmente en los dominios Ausencia de Coerción (CCI=0,70; p=0368) y Comunicación (CCI=0,69; p=0694). La edad de la madre (β-ajustada=-0.027; p=0.039) y la etnia / raza de la hija (β-ajustada=0.423; p=0.049) fueron factores que intervinieron en la transmisión intergeneracional relacionada con la Toma de Decisiones, asociada a una menor edad de la madre y al autorreconocimiento de la hija como negra. Conclusión: las hijas no siguen la misma opción que sus madres, lo que puede explicarse debido a la mayor accesibilidad a los servicios de planificación reproductiva y mayores niveles de educación. La transmisión intergeneracional entre quilombolas presenta importantes especificidades para las decisiones reproductivas y permite una mejor comprensión de la información y la calificación de la asistencia de los profesionales de la salud en el cuidado de estas mujeres.
